John Coghlan selected for Irish U23 team for European Cross Country in Brussels

Metro St. Brigid’s John Coghlan has been selected to compete on the Irish U23 team in the oncoming European Cross Country Championships in Brussels, Belgium.
Coghlan was on form at the recent National Senior Inter County Championships in Tramore, Waterford, where he finished 12th overall and was a scoring member of the gold winning Dublin team.

The Irish men’s under 23 team in Brussels will include three U.S based runners; David McCarthy (West Waterford) who finished 19th in the NCAA event, Ciaran O’Lionaird, (Leevale A.C) and Richie Yeates, (Raheny Shamrock A.C). Mick Clohisey (Raheny Shamrock A.C), Paul Pollock (Abbey A.C) and Jason Fahy, (Olympic Harriers) will be John Coghlan’s other team mates.
