MSB MEDALS IN DUBLIN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

MSB AC athletes participated in eight of the twelve Dublin Championship races held in St. Anne’s Park, Raheny on Sunday 2nd November. Among those who ran well and qualified to represent Dublin at the National Championships in Tramore, Waterford were Vanessa O’Connor, who ran strongly to finish 2nd in the Girls under 12 and Peter Gaffney, who finished 7th in the Boys under 16.

Also running impressively in MSB colours in their respective age groups were Molly Brown, Adam Delaney, Katie Brown and Aoibhinn Dowdall.

Liam Tremble finished 2nd in the Junior Men while Kate O’Neill held her own in a strong field of Senior women to finish 12th and deservedly qualify for the Dublin team at the Nationals in Tramore.

John Coghlan effectively made his debut at Senior level in a Cross Country Race and did so in fine style. In a strong field of Dublin elites in this hotly contested championship he managed to finish 9th.
